ROYAL PRIDE WEEKLY
March 14, 2024
Hello Royals Family!
The spring months are often a mixed blessing for high schoolers. The weather is turning for the good, daylight extends into the later afternoon and evening, spring activities and sports are in full swing (and summer beckons just out of reach, but approaching).
Spring is also a time for college anxiety for seniors and their families. There is so much ‘good news’ out there and our senior class has earned every joyful moment that the college admissions process brings their way. But unavoidably, and much to the frustration of parents and students alike, the college admission process is neither linear nor logical when viewed from the perspective of the student.
I have always believed and will continue to believe that there is a divine plan for every single one of our seniors. I continue to believe that every one of our seniors will end up in the perfect place in the coming year; the place that is essential for them to grow into the person that God is calling them to be. Please pray for our seniors, our senior parents, and everyone who has invested so much into building out this future. As one of my past coach’s would have said, “trust in God, but do the work!”
Enjoy this beautiful weekend, and I hope your child enjoys a day removed from school tomorrow as the MCP Faculty and Staff enjoy our annual Spring retreat, our Day of Greatness! As always, thank you for your partnership with MCP!
Yours in Christ,
Mike Susank
Principal

Calculus Students - Learning by Doing

They compared these values to Pi and explained possible reasons why their values for Pi were not exact. Then the Calculus students ate apple pie!

Lenten Phone Fast
As a schoolwide initiative, we want to remind all students and faculty & staff (and we invite parents too) of our school’s Lenten phone fast that begins Wednesday, February 14th. Our fasting will run from 8:30am–2:40pm each day. We do not want to see any phones out at break, at lunch, during passing periods, in the hallways, in the bathrooms, etc. We hope this is a time for all of us to better connect. Let’s embrace this beautiful opportunity to be more engaged with one another. Our Lenten phone fast will go up until Easter break. Wishing you all blessings on this Lenten journey.
