ROYAL PRIDE WEEKLY
January 19, 2024
Good Afternoon Royals Family!
It looks like we are going to be blessed this weekend with some rainy weather and as much as I’d like to occasionally curse the inconvenience of some occasional rain, it is a far cry from the unprecedented inundation we faced a year ago.
Hopefully the wet weather will replenish our community without too much disruption to games, travel, the Winter Formal dance on Saturday, or any other weekend plans. Thankfully the dance location, at The Monday Club in San Luis Obispo, has ample indoor area and I am sure it will not put a damper on the festivities. We always have high expectations for our students in terms of comportment and dress and we thank you, parents for being in partnership for your support of these standards. It is going to be a wonderful event and we thank our tireless ASB Leadership classes and especially the Sophomore Class who put on this dance.
In all it was another wonderful week on the campus and we closed it out with a passionate presentation today to our senior class by Fr. Joshua Waltz, who is in our community visiting St. Williams Parish in Atascadero. Fr. Waltz has a gift for connecting with high school students and he challenged our seniors to consider the promise and rewards of a moral life, while calling out the false promises of our current culture. He pulled no punches, but he also shared some amazing stories while provoking some considerable discussion for our soon-to-be graduates. If you have a senior in your household, I would venture a guess that today’s discussion certainly had their attention, and that they would enjoy sharing their take-aways with you.
Thank you, everyone, for your support and partnership. Have a great weekend.
Yours in Christ,
Mike Susank
Principal
