ASB Elections for 2023-2024 are on March 24, right around the corner. If you would like to run for office, here are items you need to do:
- Completing the contract for being a Class Officers, including getting your parent's signature of support - deadline Friday, March 10
- Creating an optional 30-second campaign ad which is due on Monday, March 13
- Writing a 1-2 page speech that you will be presenting to the school on Friday, March 24

Election packets can be found in the Front Office or on the chalkboard in the café, and are to be turned in to Mr. Trokey in the Front Office.

A huge congratulations goes out to all of the cast and crew of MCP's drama production of Romeo & Juliet. These thespians worked since December to put on three great shows last weekend. Congratulations to all!

Congratulate David Luera, Drew Harrigan, and Mario Luera on their recent football honors. David was recently named 2nd Team All-State Linebacker. He broke the school record and finished 17th in the state for tackles in a season with 166. Drew Harrigan and Mario Luera were both named All-State nominees as well for their incredible seasons. Congratulations gentlemen.

Good luck to our Men's Basketball team who will be competing in the second-round of the CIF playoffs tonight against Clovis West in Fresno. Our boys had a thrilling opening round win (66-50) in the first-round of the CIF playoffs over Bullard HS on Wednesday night at home. Tip off tonight is at 6:00 PM at Clovis West. MCP’s Mock Trial team performed fabulously this year. Beating 5-time defending champions SLO High in the semi-final round and came up just a bit short in the SLO County finals against Morro Bay.

Three trophies for best individual performances in the county went to -
Best Defense Attorney: Nicholas Loughead, Best Defense Witness: Levi Munster, Best Courtroom Clerk: Isabella Nagorski, Honorable Mention Prosecution Attorney: Eli Marsalek, and Honorable Mention Pretrial Attorney: Isabella Nagorski

MCP’s Mock Trial team defeated the 5-times defending champions SLO High last night! The county championship will be decided in a trial tonight against Morro Bay beginning at 6:15pm at the SLO County Courthouse. Come watch this amazing team in action!

Enjoy Valentine's weekend at MCP's drama production of Romeo & Juliet. This one-weekend show is scheduled to hit the PAC stage on Friday, February 10 - Sunday, February 12. The student production is led by student director Lunabella Levin and features Maia Doughty as Juliet, Andrew Orr as Romeo, and special guest Mr. Terry as Capulet! MCP's Mock Trial and Men's Varsity Basketball teams are scheduled for an exciting evening of local competition tonight! MCP takes on Bullard in the first-round of CIF Men's Basketball tonight at MCP with tip-off at 6:00 PM. At the same time, MCP's Mock Trial team will be competing against SLO High in the semi-finals round of Mock Trial at the SLO County Courthouse. The trail competition starts at 6:15 PM.
