MCP’s Mock Trial team performed fabulously this year. Beating 5-time defending champions SLO High in the semi-final round and came up just a bit short in the SLO County finals against Morro Bay.

Three trophies for best individual performances in the county went to -
Best Defense Attorney: Nicholas Loughead, Best Defense Witness: Levi Munster, Best Courtroom Clerk: Isabella Nagorski, Honorable Mention Prosecution Attorney: Eli Marsalek, and Honorable Mention Pretrial Attorney: Isabella Nagorski

MCP’s Mock Trial team defeated the 5-times defending champions SLO High last night! The county championship will be decided in a trial tonight against Morro Bay beginning at 6:15pm at the SLO County Courthouse. Come watch this amazing team in action!

MCP's Mock Trial and Men's Varsity Basketball teams are scheduled for an exciting evening of local competition tonight! MCP takes on Bullard in the first-round of CIF Men's Basketball tonight at MCP with tip-off at 6:00 PM. At the same time, MCP's Mock Trial team will be competing against SLO High in the semi-finals round of Mock Trial at the SLO County Courthouse. The trail competition starts at 6:15 PM. Come out and support your Royals!

The fifth annual Love SLO community wide day of service will be held next month in San Luis Obispo, California as part of the national Love Our Cities movement. The San Luis Obispo community will come together to celebrate their hometown and work alongside one another to benefit organizations throughout the city. This year’s community-wide day of service will be held this Saturday on March 11, 2023.

This past weekend, the MCP Game Day Cheer team competed at the World Class Cheerleading West Coast Challenge. They competed against sixteen different school cheer teams from across Southern California. Led by the team captain, Maddie Sran, the team received zero deductions and won first place in the Varsity Game Day division. They received a first-place banner and championship rings. Way to go Lady Royals! Three cheers for you!!!!

Yes you read that right. After some diligent work and the blessing of our Superintendent, MCP has been allowed to send 4 wrestlers to the CIF Division 5 meet on Saturday, February 11th at Matilda Torres High School in Madera. The wrestlers are Gabe Ahumada, David Luera, Drake Mello and Grant Mello. Congratulations to MCP's Wrestling team. Go Royals!
