Upcoming Workshops/Presentations for MCP Students

Dear MCP Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the new year.

Last school year we had our students attend various assemblies/workshops that aligns with our Profile of An MCP Graduate: Faith-Filled, Academic achievers, Spirited individuals, Ethical decision-makers, Effective communicators, Compassionate leaders, Globally responsible citizens, Lifelong learners, and Stewards of Self.

We will continue to have these presentations as we enter the new year [this semester]. Through a combination of guest speakers, group activities, and discussions, MCP students explore how to better both their own lives and the lives of others. These presentations will take place at MCP during FLEX/Assembly period.

This Thursday, January 5th MCP will present in collaboration with the SLO County Sheriff's Office - Internet Safety 101.

Assemblies/workshops coming in the next couple of months:

  • Suicide Prevention
  • Financial Planning
  • Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco /Vapes E-Cigs
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Crime Prevention - cyber-bullying, Internet safety, and texting/cell phone safety.
  • Health Nutrition

And more…

There will also be optional workshops available for students during Flex Events.
