Description
The Activities Assistant will provide leadership in the area of student government, clubs, and non-athletic activities. The Activities Assistant will work closely with other members of the administration to ensure the intentional programming and consistent offering of diverse student activities. As the Activities Assistant this position assumes various roles and supervision duties. Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education of the school
Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and mission of the school.
2. Implement policies and procedures, which foster a co-curricular program that is consistent with the school philosophy.
3. Co-teach the Leadership classes in coordination with the Vice-Principal of Student Affairs.
4. Supervise and coordinate student and class governments, clubs, student organization activities, events and assemblies.
5. Communicate information to the Vice-Principal(s) and Marketing/Communications Specialists for coordinating the Master Calendar of school events.
6. Coordinate policies and procedures concerning activities, including monthly meetings with administrators and moderators.
7. Coordinate and publish Daily Announcements, Bulletins, and the keep up-to-date the Activities guidelines.
8. Collaborate with the Director of Athletics and the Coordinator of Security and Discipline in those activities where athletic/intramural events and other student activities overlap.
9. Recommend the appointment of all co-curricular personnel to the Vice-Principal(s)
10. Work with the Social Media Associate to disseminate information on social media platforms
11. Assist in any event on campus that is student related and monitor the set up of each.
12. Responsible for issuing school I.D. badges for all students, faculty, staff, and administration.
13. Assume other administrative duties as assigned by the Vice-Principal(s) and Principal.
