SENIOR PORTRAITS

Congratulations on beginning your senior year! Summer is the time to take your senior portrait for the yearbook.  All senior portraits must be submitted electronically to the yearbook advisor by Friday, September 21.

Senior portraits are not taken by MCP, but can be done by a photographer of your choosing. Families are responsible for the photo fees and services, and MCP is not affiliated with any company.  Images must be submitted via https://missionprep.wetransfer.com ; no hardcopies, disks or flash drives please. Please title the image: "Last name First name senior portrait".

Photos must meet these specifications:

  • Vertical only
  • Aspect ratio roughly 2:3
  • Minimum of 3" on the long (vertical) side
  • 300 ppi (pixels per inch)
  • sRGB color space
  • JPEG saved at maximum quality (12 or no compression)
  • Attire must be modest according to MCP dress code policy

The yearbook advisor will approve the image before it can be printed in the yearbook. Per school dress code, attire should be professional and modest.  MCP yearbook has the responsibility to decline any image which does not meet the above specifications, and is not responsible for fees associated with re-shoots or for photos submitted after deadline.

Refer to the August Royal Pride for a list of photographers who have expressed interest in shooting portraits of MCP students. MCP does not affiliate with nor endorse any photography company for senior portraits.

 BABY PHOTOS

It is MCP tradition to include a baby photo of each senior student. This is optional, but highly encouraged.  Baby photos must be submitted electronically to the yearbook advisor by Friday, September 21.  Please make sure the file is JPEG format saved at maximum quality.  Title the file “last name first name baby photo”. Submit via https://missionprep.wetransfer.com/

SENIOR QUOTES

Seniors also have the option to include a senior quote to be printed in the book.  The quote must be appropriate, and will be subject to approval by the yearbook advisor before printing. You are encouraged to submit something that will remain meaningful and representative many years into the future.  The quote must be no more than 95 characters, including spaces and the name of the person being quoted.  Please email the quote with by line to [email protected] by Friday September 21.

Senior Recognition Ads

Parents, senior recognition ad pages will be available for you to purchase and design beginning in October.  Sales will close in November, and the ad spaces always sell out.  If you are interested, it is a great idea to begin collecting old photos over the summer so that you can construct the most meaningful page possible.  Communication on pricing and procedures for designing the ads will be emailed to you in September.  This is always a beautiful way to honor your student!
