Description
A substitute teacher at Mission College Prep High School would provide the coverage and leadership for classroom curriculum in the absence of regularly assigned faculty. The substitute must be able to follow a lesson plan or instructional materials as needed, be able to adapt to the needs of the students, and establish and maintain boundaries of student behavior needed to successfully complete assignments.

A substitute teacher needs to be flexible and to use intuition to solve problems when they arise, to communicate well with both students and fellow faculty/staff, and to use both humor and a positive attitude in their approach to teaching and interacting with others.
Benefits
$35/hour; $140/full-day; $70/half-day
Requirements
If interested, you must complete the diocesan teacher application found at www.missionprep.org/About/Employment (the essay is not required).
Also mandatory is a cover letter, resume, transcript(s), and three references via email to [email protected].
Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree, obtain a LiveScan (both DOJ and FBI clearance) using MCP-supplied form, TB Clearance verification.

Not required but favorably suggested:
California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) verification,
Copy of California Teaching Credential and/or Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit
