Inaugural Inductee
John Iribarren
We honored John Iribarren as the inaugural inductee into the Mission College Prep Athletic Hall of Fame. John started at Mission in 1961 and has been a constant presence in physical education and athletics ever since. The impact he has had on our community goes well beyond the walls of our school and spreads into youth sports throughout our County. It is a privilege to celebrate John as the inaugural member of the Athletic Hall of Fame and we are grateful for his 50 years of commitment to the students of the Mission school community.
Athletic Hall Of Fame
Welcome to the Mission College Prep Athletic Hall of Fame. An earlier version of a Hall of Fame was originally opened October 31, 1986 as the 'Gridiron Hall of Fame' inducting football players from 1940-1970. The new Athletic Hall of Fame was introduced in October of 2011 and will include both male and female athletes from all sports spanning over the life of the school.
Throughout the 2011-2012 school year there will be a committee selecting more recent athletes from all sports. The inductions will be made at various points during the school year in hopes to display a more complete picture of our rich athletic history here at MCP.
